2010 Symposium

The 2nd E Allison Peers Symposium, on Performing Luso-Hispanic Identities in a Transatlantic Context, took place on 22-23 October 2010.

Speakers included Antonio Martinez Arboleda (Leeds), Chris Perriam (Manchester), Paula Barreiro-Lopez (Liverpool), Luis Trindade (Birkbeck) and Helena Buffery (Cork). The poet Oscar Centeno and the Catalan music group VerdCel also performed.

The conference included the annual E Allison Peers Lecture, delivered by Professor Roberto Ignacio Diaz of the University of Southern California, on Ultimate Passage: A Cuban Runaway Slave at the Royal Danish Theatre.
